About GoodYou

We're good, you?

It's our way of saying hello, and it's how we work. Approachable, plain-spoken, and genuinely invested in your success. GoodYou exists so ambitious companies can get the same caliber of marketing the biggest brands take for granted, without the layers that usually come with it.

Why we exist

One-channel agencies give one-channel advice.

A search agency here, a social agency there, an ecommerce shop down the street. That's not a knock on specialization, but it limits what an agency can honestly tell you. When one channel is all you sell, it's the answer to every question.

We built GoodYou to see the whole picture, so our recommendations answer to your goals and not to one platform in your mix. That takes real depth across search, social, commerce, websites, and analytics, which is why we've spent years building a team of specialists in each.

Early at Yahoo, a product manager gave Jason advice we still work by.

If it isn't measurable, it's probably not worth doing.

So before we recommend anything, we ask two questions. What are your goals, and how will we know when we're getting there?

Leadership

The people who set the standard

Our partners spent their careers inside some of the largest advertising organizations on the web. They set the strategy, catch the problems before you do, and hire everyone who touches your account.

Jason Kaufman

Cofounder, Managing Partner

Jason spent over a decade at Yahoo leading the teams that ran advertising for some of the largest brands in the world, alongside the growing companies trying to get there. He then brought that expertise in-house at Wayfair, where he saw firsthand how media strategy connects to real business outcomes. When he's not thinking about your marketing, you'll probably find him on a bike somewhere in the woods.

Jeff Ventre

Cofounder, Managing Partner

Jeff has spent twenty years in digital media, starting agency-side before nine years at Yahoo, where he led its largest advertiser teams and later its North American sales strategy and operations. He left in 2020 to build GoodYou, where the size of your budget doesn't decide who works on your account. He lives in Charlestown and spends most weekends on a trail or at a campsite somewhere in New England.

How we work

Experience at every level

Running teams is the part our partners know best, and it's how GoodYou was built. We hire experienced people, train them properly, and hold the work to a high standard. Most of the team has been here for years doing exactly the work they do for you.

Strategy set by a partner

Every account starts with a partner defining the goals, the plan, and how success gets measured. That doesn't get delegated.

Day-to-day run by specialists

Your campaigns are managed by experienced practitioners who do this work every day. Nobody is learning on your budget.

Accountability at every stage

Partners stay in the numbers, join your meetings, and answer for the results. You're never handed off and forgotten.

Frequently asked questions

We do our best work when we're thinking together, so your feedback and input genuinely make the work better. We ask that you be available for a standing monthly meeting to review progress against goals, discuss optimizations, and align on any changes. Beyond that, we're available for shorter focused meetings as needed and asynchronously via Slack, Teams, or Messenger.

The first 90 days cover the foundation. Platform and systems access, deep audits of what's already in place, analytics setup or reconfiguration, goal setting, and campaign implementation. We move efficiently through this phase because getting it right early makes everything that follows more effective.

Results are always measured against the goals you define. We make sure we're fully aligned and that the right reporting and analytics are in place from the start. Every client gets an always-on executive dashboard so you always know how your marketing is performing, without having to ask.

Yes, and it's a common setup. Usually there's a marketing lead or small team who owns the brand and the roadmap, and we take the channels that need specialist hands. We'll flex to how you like to work, whether that's running point or backing up your team.

It depends on the channel and the starting point, but most clients see meaningful movement within the first 60 to 90 days. Before we start, we model realistic performance scenarios together so you know what to expect and when.
